HWSA National Licensing Standard Implementation Group
The HWSA National Licensing Standard Implementation Group was established to facilitate the consistent implementation of the National Standard for the Licensing of High Risk Work across jurisdictions. The implementation group provides a forum in which jurisdictions can provide updates about the status of implementation within each state and territory and identify any issues with or obstructions to implementation. A representative from the Office of the Australian Safety and Compensation Council (ASCC) also attends the implementation group meetings, to ensure open communication between the Commonwealth and the States and Territories.
The work undertaken by the implementation group complements the technical work being undertaken by the National Licensing Technical Working Group convened by the ASCC.
